I secured the first expansion of the Surrey Hills AONB in 50 years - meaning more green space will be protected locally than ever before. I now want an even higher level of protection: to turn the Surrey Hills into a National Park, meaning it will get funding from DEFRA and become its own planning authority. I grew up in the Surrey Hills around Shere and I want to ensure it remains special for future generations of children as it was for me.
