Local MP Jeremy Hunt addressed hundereds of members of the Ahmadiyya
Muslim Community on Friday at their annual convention in Hampshire on
Friday. The Ahmadiyya Community have a base at Islamabad in Tilford and Jeremy was thrilled to speak to them at this extremely important event in their calendar. The community’s motto is “Love for All, Hatred for None” and Jalsa is an opportunity for members to come together and get to know each other better and expand their knowledge.
Jeremy said: “The sheer size and scale of the Jalsa Salana convention is incredible with over 20,000 people coming from every corner of the planet. I was really struck by the efforts the Ahmadi community are making to challenge stereotypes about Islam and promote religious tolerance worldwide. They are also to be commended for their very active desire to engage with our local community in Tilford. ""
