Jeremy Hunt, MP for South West Surrey, officially opened the new kitchen facility at Bells Piece in Farnham on Friday. The kitchen will allow adults with learning disabilities to undertake a cooking course enabling them to gain the valuable skills they need to live independently. Jeremy has long been a supporter of the work of Bells Piece and was thrilled to meet the participants on Friday and see the sort of thing the new facilities will offer. Jeremy said: “Cooking is not my strong point but thankfully I gained some valuable cooking tips from some of the participants who were busy preparing a frittata. I saw for myself how the new kitchen will give users of Bells Piece even more opportunity to gain the skills they need to live independently, which is so important and why Bells Piece is so valued by residents and visitors”.
