Local MP Jeremy Hunt is holding a public meeting on Friday 28th October at 7.30pm in Chichester Hall, Witley, to discuss broadband issues. Jeremy is also Secretary of State for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport with responsibility for broadband and has pledged to have 100% broadband coverage by 2015. Jeremy will be joined by representatives from the Surrey Broadband team and this will be an excellent opportunity to ask any questions you may have and to hear about both the government and Surrey’s plans for broadband. Jeremy said: “This is a great opportunity to hear firsthand what our plans are for broadband provision in South West Surrey. Rural areas such as this will be the main beneficiaries of our plans as improved broadband connections and speeds will ensure our towns and villages are not left behind. Come along and ask any burning questions you may have. I hope that this will be an extremely useful and informative debate”. The meeting is open to all residents.
