Jeremy Hunt confirmed that he has been reselected by the SWS Conservative Association as its Conservative candidate. He said:
“I am delighted to have been reselected for the fifth time as local Conservative candidate. People in South West Surrey know how hard I campaign on local issues, whether it is Haslemere Hospital, Farnham town centre or Godalming flood defences. But the next election will also be about sending someone to Westminster who contributes powerfully to the national debate about the kind of country we become post-Brexit. I will campaign for what many in South West Surrey want us to be: an open, outward-looking country which values the environment and its young people - on the back of a strong economy and decent investment in public services such as schools and the NHS”.
