Public meeting with Thames Water, Angela Richardson MP and Jeremy Hunt MP on Friday 15th December 2023, 5:15pm to 6:30pm.
Location: University of Surrey's Rik Medlik Building Lecture Theatre, GU27XH. Please use the University's North Car Park (free parking from 5pm onwards).
Following the major incident caused by water outages last month residents of Guildford, Godalming and all impacted areas are invited to a public meeting with the interim Co-CEO of Thames Water. Jeremy Hunt MP will co-host the meeting with Angela Richardson MP and Surrey leader Cllr Tim Oliver will also be there. Top of the list is to understand why it happened so we can be confident of no repeat.
The meeting will be an opportunity for residents to question Thames Water representatives directly; to hear from the water company both what caused the incident and what action the company is taking to ensure our water infrastructure is resilient.
