Jeremy Hunt MP visited Unstead Nature Reserve on Friday 14th March, where he joined Richard Acton and his team of brilliant volunteers.
Unstead Nature community group, together with Thames Water have turned the site into a haven for all kinds of wildlife and animals.
The Dunlin bird has returned for the first time in ten years and the Caspian gull had its second recorded sighting in Surrey at the reserve.
Jeremy Hunt, said: "The team are hard at work increasing biodiversity, creating a variety of habitats including wetland and a wildflower meadow."
He also added: "I thoroughly recommend a walk around this hidden gem for a peaceful half hour- huge congratulations to the team for their impressive work."
