Jeremy Hunt, MP for South West Surrey is encouraging exciting new businesses in the constituency to take part in the ‘Start Up Hub’ business action competition launched by the Conservative party. This will be running at the party conference in Manchester which takes place from 2 – 5 October. Businesses that are less than a year old are encouraged to apply from sectors ranging from the creative and digital to the retail and practical. Jeremy is urging any new businesses in South West Surrey to enter this exciting competition which is the first time any party has sought to bring in start up businesses in this way. This is a chance to showcase ideas to a conference that attracts up to 13,500 delegates.
Jeremy said: “This is an exciting opportunity for any budding local entrepreneurs to pitch their idea in front of potentially thousands of delegates and gain some invaluable exposure for their innovative business ideas. From my own experience of starting a new business I know how difficult it can be and I wish there had been something like this when I was first starting out.”
