At the beginning of this year local MP Jeremy Hunt challenged himself to learn how to be a football referee. After months of theory, he has now started putting his new knowledge in to practice on the football field and on Saturday refereed an under 11's match in Beacon Hill between Beacon Hill and Petersfield. This was the fourth of six matches Jeremy has to complete in order to qualify as a level 7 football ref. Jeremy said: “Learning Mandarin is nothing compared to this! There is a huge amount to learn - not just the offside rule - and I am sure I missed the odd handball or foul.
