Jeremy Hunt cut the ribbon to celebrate the return of Haslemere Hospital’s 16 inpatient beds following its £2.3m revamp.
Jeremy said, "I was delighted to re-open the ward at Haslemere Hospital and was impressed by the quality of the refurbishment and attention to detail. I’m sure that the incoming patients will benefit from recuperating in what is now a spacious, light and bright environment.
"Haslemere Hospital provides a very important service to the area and the significance to the community of the hospital being fully operational again should not be underestimated.
"What has remained consistent during this period of temporary closure is the loyalty and professionalism of the staff who have been unwavering in their commitment to the hospital and it was a pleasure to be there to recognise all involved for their efforts."
