The Cards for Good Causes organisation sells a range of cards for more than 25 national and local charities including GUTS, Phyllis Tuckwell, Shooting Star Chase and Canine Partners.
The organisation is the UK's largest multi-charity Christmas card company with a national network of over 300 shops selling cards for some 275 charities.
Shop Manager Maggie Monteath commented: "Our seasonal shops are a great way to prepare for Christmas and what better way is there than buying charity cards as it means you give twice, once to friends and family, and again to worthwhile causes of your choice.
"We were delighted that Jeremy Hunt could support us by opening the shop and hope that visitors to the town and museum will buy their cards from us this year."
Jeremy Hunt, MP for South West Surrey said: "I am very pleased to officially open this wonderful shop. The contribution it makes to local charities is significant and represents a major revenue stream for them at this time of year. Thanks too must go to all the volunteers who help to run the shop on the lead up to Christmas."
Last year the shop sold more than £24,000 of cards and Christmas gifts. The shop is open Monday-Saturday between 10.00am and 4.30pm.
